Mothers Day

Please do not forget mothers day tomorrow, unfortunately my Mum passed away many years ago but still miss her, I have got some flowers in the house as she loved them very much. I must have taken that from her she was a  special lady who brought up five kids and looked after us so well. She died very suddenly of leukemia and never told me till the last few days. I was at RAF Valley in North Wales at the time and so busy with my life. We spoke most weeks on the phone but she never even told me she was ill, till too late. Always look after your family they are so important to us all and are not here for ever. I miss both Mum and Dad so much and you never get that time back. She was such a brave lady at the end, never complained and was in such pain, a truly inspirational lady in all aspects and shaped my life so much.

I hope to get climbing near Aberdeen with Pete Greening and Stephen if weather improves, it is dry now at home. 10 years ago I was in Katmandu sorting out kit for the trek and Everest expedition, I was a lucky man. These memories are so special to me and I am so lucky to have had so much fun in my life.
