Glencoe and the midges!

This weekend I had to help move Stephen to his accommodation in Glencoe as he has moved there to work in Fort William. He lives now in Glencoe village with great views of Bidian Nam Bian from the house. We also met along term friend Bob Anderson who also lives in Glencoe. We visited an old friend Elma Scott who lives in Crianlarich where we had the best cakes in Scotland.

Elmas cakes and scones the best in Scotland!

Next day we tried to climb at Polldubh in Glen Nevis but the midges were awful so we ran away. I decided to show Stephen some of the wonderful places he can go to so we went to Mallaig on the West coast. It was a fantastic day no midges and the views of Rum, Eigg and Skye were incredible. Blue seas and clear skies and no wind make this a wonderful place to visit. The views of Ardgour on the way down were incredible and we planned some hill days for the future. In all a good weekend in such great surrounds. No day is ever wasted in the West coast no matter the weather, what a country we live in.
