I visited Wendy for the first time since my old friend Eric passed away today, I was just back from my travels. We had a lovely morning together and she is slowly getting used to being on her own after so many years with her husband Eric. She is so thankful of all the support she is getting and it is wonderful to see the true friendship shown by so many of the family and friends. Many people forget that a funeral is just the start of the grieving and this is when we need our friends. She gave me the copy of the Scotsman Eulogy which was published this week. See link below. It was a lovely morning and we had a lovely spell in the garden.
I have just been sorting out my kit from the trip South and enjoying being back home. I just had a look at my copy of Classic Rock and I have kept a diary of all the people who climbed with me over the years. I felt a bit emotional as some are no longer with us. Great people, great days, great climbs, I am so lucky to have been to so many wonderful places with so many great companions. Role on the next 40 years, must finish my Corbett’s I have about 30 left. The Dolphins were out today, incredible when I went for a wee walk, what a sight. This photo is of the Moray Dolphin website. Life is good.
