Easy day – but the magic of the Moray Coast. Dolphins and sunsets all for free!

I was planning out on the hill yesterday but all my contacts were busy and to be truthful I was very tired after my long drive home from Barnstaple in Devon a long 630 miles. The old car did me proud and I woke at 0500 had some breakfast but was so tired still and fed up of driving so I decided not to go out. Instead I had a long walk along the beach before the heat came out and later in the day I saw the dolphins it is grand to be home.It was hot but what a day and what a heat a great spell of weather and so glad to be home again. I will go on Thursday to the hills all being well and get out and see how unfit I am, how I miss them.  As I was on the motorway it was great to be heading back home but I had special times with my Grand kids . The roads M5/ M6 are so busy and it was great to see the Lakes and then the Borders even with all the wind – farms ( few were turning)

I love the drive up from the Borders  and was soon in Perth where I was met by a Black Cloud but missed the rain that I chased all the way up. Words do not explain the feeling of seeing familiar hills again from Ben Vracke, The Blair Atholl Munros and Carn Liath with its path scarring the hillside to the Dalwhinnie hills looking green and magnificent. Then the Feshies hills still with some snow in the deep Corries and then the Cairngorms holding big patches, will they go before the winter. The homeward straight is grand with the Cromdales and Ben Rinnes standing proud and then the Dava Moor and views of the Moray Firth and the sea. I am so lucky to live here. There was an incredible sunset last night and I went for another wander and watched it.

The Commonwealth Games is ramping up and it is great to see Glasgow and Scotland working hard to make it a special time. In these dark days of war in Israel and the plane crash it is good to enjoy some good news at last. I am sure it will be a great success with a lasting legacy for all Scotland/

Today is golf morning then maybe a wander along the Moray Coast and get ready for an easy day on the hill.  I wonder if any dolphins about today?
