Next week I will be in Glencoe for a winter lecture in the Clachaig Inn, it will be great to get out and see the big hills again. Three weeks ago I had my operation and it is so hard to take it easy but I have to as the healing process is slow but hopefully successful. Glencoe is a wonderful place for me I have spent many years in the great place and have many friends in the area. When I was at RAF Leuchars and Kinloss Mountain rescue I had so many outstanding days and hard call-outs. In winter and summer is a wild place but what a compact Glen with climbs and walks of all standard. It holds a huge place in Scottish Mountaineering and Scottish History it just steeps of wild days and amazing stories, It is a Glen like no other and I look forward to the journey down and maybe a short walk in these powerful hills.
