Live every Day – Ben Nevis navigation.

I have been lucky to be hardly ill in my life so this period of illness is not so good but after 4 months and three operations things are still very slow. Today for the first time in 3 days I managed a 20 minute walk round the harbour so the morale is get out there while your fit and well, you never know what is round the corner!

High winds forecast today so watch out if out and about. I notice that the Ben has had its busy period and how the areas of the call – outs do not change that much. Despite the information out many still find the summit plateau in a wild day has lots of problems for the unwary.

Add to this  a high wind, driving snow and limited visibility  it is a place to navigate properly despite the new markers. Well worth remembering.

Be prepared  for all events getting to the top of the climb or summit is not the end of the day ?
