I have been so privileged to spend a lot of time in Nepal it is a place near to my heart and its people are special. The sad news of the huge Earthquake and the loss  of life is horrendous and I have no doubt there is more bad news to come. Nepal is a poor country with poor infrastructure I hope the Uk pulls out the stops to help these people who have done so much for the UK the Gurkha over the years. They deserve all the help they can get.

  2. Yes, I can only echo your comment. Oddly, I was due to arrive in Nepal last Wednesday to climb…! Fate has it…

  3. Very sad news. I understand that the British Army Exped with Ted Atkins in his technical role are safe.
