July 2015 – Still Missing in Glen Nevis – Please if in the area please keep an eye out. My thoughts are with the family and all those involved.

One of the worst thingin Mountain Rescue is not to find a missing person in only a very few searches I was involved in my 40 years we still have not located the casualty.   A few searches went on for months, even years yet we never gave up looking so families could get closure. As the Team Leader I was heavily involved in these searches and got to know many relatives in these difficult times.  In Lochaber this year the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team is still looking for two missing people. Huge searches have found few clues and the yet the teams continue when they can to locate the lost loved ones. My thoughts are with the families and those involved in the searches.

July 18/19 /2015  The Lochaber Team and RAF MRT have been out again last weekend searching for Tom Brown and Eric Cyl. They have both been missing for several weeks in the Glen Nevis area. This was on their Facebook page the other day.

“The search today concentrated on Meall Cumhann but as before has been unsuccessful. We have now covered all potential routes that either of these missing persons could have taken there last known locations. We would ask any walkers in Glen Nevis/Mamores/Grey Corries/Aonach Beag/Carn Dearg areas to keep their eyes open for items of gear/clothing. We will keep looking.
