The media is full of the enquiry that was opened yesterday and it is another tragedy.
Flight MH17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was travelling over the conflict-hit region on 17 July 2014 when it disappeared from radar. A total of 283 passengers, including 80 children, and 15 crew members were on board.
The final report into the disaster said a missile exploded just above and to the left of the cockpit, causing the plane to break up in mid-air.
It brings back to me the tragedy of Lockerbie that I was involved in when in 1988 Scotland had a similar disaster and yet all these years later we still have no answers. It is all hidden in the World of Politics and Government secrecy. I wonder if this will happen to those involved in the Ukraine tragedy. My thoughts are with all those families who have lost loved ones and the terrible effect on their families. 80 children died in this murderous attack what a world we live in at times. I plead for the politicians please do all they can to bring those responsible to justice.
Tonight I will be in Hopeman doing a chat for the local Church it will hopefully be good evening with friends. It will be good practice for my visit to Ayr on Thursday where I am speaking in my old Church where my Dad preached. He was a minister in Ayr where I was born, I was a bit of a wild child in those days. It will be a special night for me and I wonder what my Mum and Dad would have made of this crazy world. I owe them so much such good kind people and miss them every day.
Yet as I keep reminding myself there are so many good people about that we never hear about.
