Drove over to the West to Torridon yesterday to get ready for the Celtman Extreme Scottish Triathlon ! I am helping early in the morning with the safety cover on the Loch with my mates boat ! We have to be up at 0300 as the race starts at 0500! I arrived via Sheildaig where with my hosts Taff @ Kallie we attended a fundraiser for the Skiff that the locals are building!
These are local built boats that many villages are building across Scotland and are proving so popular with each community.Sheldaig also has a young biker who is a champion Scottish biker and he was showing us his moves! Incredible young man Bailey Decker – shown below some place Shedaig in such a small place such talent. They were next to the BBQ raising funds for the skip and they were doing well of the Celtman competitors !
We had a lovely burger and s soft drink and then headed to Kallie and Taff’s B&B at Arrina the most stunning place to live on the Aplecross peninsula . What a view over the loch to the Torridon hills and the loch! The weather was magic and the midges not bad and we had a walk with the dog and the views were outstanding.
It was an early night and I hoped to get a few hours sleep as I was helping Taff with the safety boat and then back for a short sleep and on the hill from 1400 till late about 2300 manning one of the checkpoints be with Torridon Mrt. It may be a long day !
These competitors are incredible !
