Wild weather coming in! Just my luck as a bit of travelling to do but by going early I made it safely!

Looks like winter is back with a vengeance according to

the Mountain Weather Information Service ! I plan to travel to Ayr during the night of the 22/23 December after a great break with the Grandkids!

“The forecast chart for noon 22 December, 2016
Scottish Highlands: upland gales and frequent snow and hail, giving whiteout. Most severe conditions western mountains; periods of few showers E Cairngorms NP and E of Glenshee. Elsewhere: less windy; showers, of snow higher areas. Fewest showers Wales; S Pennines.”

I hope to spend Christmas in Ayr with my family after a sad year where I lost my sister Jenifer and my Brother in Law Fergus. It will be good to get together with my two remaining sisters and family.

My pal Flo

I will miss the Grandkids,Yvette,Dave and Flo the Black lab we have had some fun at this specail time.

It was a wild drive back okay in the middle of night as far as the Lakes then the wind and rain came in. I had some expensive sausage in a roll  on the motorway at £4.50 a rip off!

The rivers were looking very high in the Borders and the cross country roads from the M74 was wild. These are tricky driving roads on the last hour of a long journey and you past so many mining villages that in the past were busy places full of hard working people. This is the land that made some of Scotland’s finest like Bill Shankly the manager of Liverpool and a well loved man by many.

I got to Ayr as light was breaking and the wind was up! At least I am here now and will have a sleep then get sorted for Christmas. It will be good to be with the family lots of great memories of Ayr .

I hope to get to the football weather dependant at Ayr today! Good old Ayr United are playing at home today at Somerset Park . Huge memories of great days with my Mum and Dad!

Come on the Ayr. Have a great Christmas love to all .

Yo ho ho!
