Badaguish and the Cairngorms with Outfitmoray.

It was a busy day yesterday as we left for a few days with Outfitmoray for the Cairngorms. I picked up an old pal Bernie Foran as he is cooking for us and the kids over the next week! Outfitmoray is a local charity that I am the patron of. Outfit Moray is an award-winning charity and social enterprise delivering outdoor learning, adventure and nature. We have group of 12 kids coming on Monday and the weekend is for the volunteers to get to know the area and where we are going to take the kids on various activities.

We are staying at Badaguish near Glenmore in the Cairngorms a superb venue in a forest setting staying in chalets.and is fully accessible self catering accomadation set in the secluded Cairngorm National Park. I have stayed here many times with the RAF Mountain Rescue Team in the past it is a great venue with superb facilities. Myself and Bernie are cooking so as he is an old RAF Chef he is the ideal man .

After we sorted out the food and equipment we had a walk up to Gorge in Glen Feshie it was lovely day sun and a breeze so no dreaded midges! What a stunning place Glen Feshie is a incredible place of beauty trees wild flowers and the great hills. We had a short wander up into the river and it will be a fun place to be next week. What joy to walk in the sun no rain and enjoy the change in weather.

At the river a beautiful place in the sun and granite covered rocks.

It was a brief from Kev and a wander up the river getting shown the various places we will use . It was  then back for a BBQ at the lodge again no midges and a good meal.  The facilities are great and we had a good night. My car has a puncture so will have to head into Inverness to get it fixed tomorrow. The kids arrive Monday and the rest of the instructors and volunteers are out again today whilst I chase up a garage and do some food shopping.
