Last night I drove up to check a neighbours house she is away and drove in a big pothole in the dark! The steering in my car has a problem and I just got it home !
I had just cooked the Roast Beef for the trip to Ballater for the New Year as my contribution to the weekends food ! £30 of meat cooked and at least it will get to Ballater as Gus and Brent collected it on their way over their car was full with bikes and gear so that is my New Year on the hills gone!
Add to that 3 nights accommodation to be paid for it is already going to be a costly New Year . Glad I will get a pension soon!
It could be worse all the garages are shut so it will be a low key New Year at home.
Sorry to moan but at least I am in a warm house and washing to do !

Since this we piece was written I have had 3 offers of lifts! What great folk really appreciate but I am fine will just have to start saving to get the car fixed after New Year!
Sadly it was a private road that I knackered my car so no claim and it’s a friends house and that is the only way in to it!
No one is hurt and apart from my wallet there is little to moan about / enjoy the Roast Beef in Ballater.
