Early 70’s the Bull call – out on the 5 Sisters of Kintail?

In the early 70’s at RAF Kinloss Mountain Rescue the Team Leader got a call from the Skye Police asking for assistance in moving a Bull from the famous hills the 5 Sisters of Kintail. It was according to the Police ensconced on the sharp ridge at over 3000 feet and not allowing climbers to pass by. They had to take a lower path to avoid the obstruction? At first he thought it was a joke and then he was convinced that assistance was needed. The Bull had been scared on the main road by a car and bolted up the hill becoming the first Bull Munroist? It would also be a scary thing to meet on a misty day. Adrenalin must have taken the Bull up the hill its steep ground but it had to get it back down

the ull call outWhat happened next is in RAF MR folklore but the officer was pushed to the front and the Bull persuaded to descend back to a happy farmer. What an interesting incident and as far as we know the Bull lived happily ever after.
