Still looking for photos and stories of Ted Atkins for the Celebration of his life in Arran Great to have taken photos all my time in hills.

I am amazed at the photos I have received from pals on Ted Atkins . Ted was never camera shy and there must be so many great undiscovered gems about! Thanks and please keep them coming.

The photo below is of the late Al MacLeod below Point 5 when Ted fell off and landed on Al’s hand ( hence the blood)

I am glad I took photos even in my early days on the hill and in other situations. It is so easy nowadays but was harder in the 60/70’s and onwards till early 2000.

On the photo above Big Al is smiling as always and he and Ted walked away to climb this route and many other including the North Face of Eiger.

1973 Early days At Ballahullish near Glencoe.

So if you have any photos of the great man send them to me or any stories please!

I am so glad that I took photos throughout all my days on the hills and other events!

I have thousands of slides to scan when the dark nights come in it will be great to get them scanned ! My old scanner has packed up so any ideas on a new scanner! Or maybe buy one as a shared device ? Any takers !

Now I must get out on the bike I cannot hide inside anymore despite the weather.
