Steam wagons visit Burghead.

Steam hits Burghead a blast from the past!

I was in the wee house getting ready for the Royal visit of my friend Chalky & Colleen from Canada when I heard a rumble outside and the blast of a whistle a steam tractor was heading up the street incredible sight, smoke bellowing from the chimney, the house was shaking.  It was amazing watching it go up the street and everyone enjoyed it.

Steam truck stops at The Bothy Cafe at Burghead, much to the joy of the owner Dan Ralph!

Later on came several more of various types and sizes all rumbling up Burghead Main Street, an incredible sight and bringing lots of people out to see them. There is a steam Fayre at Roseile woods today and transport is coming from all over a wonderful sight for the village.

I quiet weekend, I had a look at the weather on the West Coast and decided to save my cash, but it was a wonderful day on the Moray Coast very warm and the Dolphins were out enjoying the fun in the sea, my prediction of an early winter I may have got that wrong.
